Researching this Manchester family has been extremely difficult - WALTON is a very common name in Lancashire and there are lots of entries in many parish registers to be considered. Whilst Sarah was a very common name, Elijah should have been easier. However, every entry I have found for an Elijah seems to have a different occupation (Labourer, Clock Maker, Skinner, Music Teacher....), so either he kept changing jobs, or there are many Elijah's to sort out!.
