BUTCHER family Ancestors

(1) 3x James SMITH ( c1794 - 1852 ) [m 1815] Fanny BUTCHER ( c1795 - 1873 )
Fanny's birthplace has been difficult to locate. On four different census's she gave her birthplace as ; Somerset, Bedminster (in Somerset), Staffordshire and "Clayhills Dudley". She married James SMITH in Dudley (where he was probably working in the clay mines), so it seems likely she came from there. However there is no record for her baptism in the church registers at about the right time, so this remains a mystery. Even more confusing is that the local history centre in Dudley have never heard of "Clayhills", so identifying her parents remains a problem.
